Vice President, Associate General Counsel, Marketing Legal
About the Role
Tubi is seeking a Vice President, Associate General Counsel-level attorney to lead our Marketing and Legal team. This role provides legal advice, risk assessment, and partnership management to the Marketing business team, and leads a team of three additional attorneys.
Responsibilities
- Provide legal advice and risk assessment for the Marketing business team.
- Negotiate and draft complex commercial agreements, including marketing, licensing, services, and sponsorship agreements.
- Handle intellectual property clearance, including clearance subject to talent and content agreement restrictions.
- Manage multiple, complex legal transactions simultaneously while balancing legal protections with practical business needs.
- Lead, coach, and support a team of high-performing attorneys.
Requirements
- 15+ years’ legal experience between an established law firm and an entertainment, media, advertising, and/or technology company.
- 5+ years’ experience managing, coaching, and developing a team of high-performing attorneys.
- Strong drafting skills and ability to convey complex legal concepts clearly to non-legal colleagues.
- Knowledge of industry-specific marketing issues, such as FTC influencer disclosures, sweepstakes and contests, and claims-based advertising.
- Excellent negotiation and relationship management skills.
- Ability to work well independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic, and creative environment.
- Strong executive presence and energetic team leadership.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage a high-volume workload efficiently.
- JD received from an ABA-accredited U.S. law school.
- Admission to the state bar in at least one U.S. state.
Pay
The pay range for this role is $252,300—$360,500 USD annually, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location.
