Our client is a vertically integrated real estate developer with a growing pipeline of luxury residential and affordable housing projects in the New York and Los Angeles markets.

About the role

Oversee asset and property management for Section 8 affordable housing properties in New York City and Los Angeles. Ensure compliance with Section 8 housing regulations and standards. Develop and implement strategies to optimize property performance and occupancy rates. Collaborate with property managers to maintain high-quality living standards and resolve tenant issues. Monitor financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and expense management. Prepare and present reports on property performance to stakeholders. Manage relationships with government agencies, contractors, and other external partners. Lead and mentor a team of property management professionals.

Requirements

  • Strong experience in managing Section 8 affordable housing portfolios in both Los Angeles and New York City.
  • Knowledge of housing regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Expertise in asset and property management strategies to improve performance and tenant satisfaction.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and mentor a team effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to manage relationships with stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, and reporting.
