About the Role

Reinventing shared rides to help reduce congestion, lower emissions and get passengers to their destinations efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Connect with Via WRTA riders using the Via Platform
• Provide flexible scheduling to meet demand
• Use an efficient routing system to reach destinations quickly
• Drive a vehicle leased from a partner to avoid wear and tear on personal vehicles
• Participate in ongoing DOT drug and alcohol testing
• Pass a background check including criminal and motor vehicle record checks
• Complete a DOT pre-engagement drug test and submit to ongoing testing
• Submit to CORI background check and ongoing monitoring

Requirements

• Valid, unrestricted US driver’s license (excluding Nevada, California, and Florida)
• Age 25 or older
• More than 1 year of driving history
• Lease and drive a vehicle from a vehicle leasing partner
• Have personal auto insurance policy
• Pass a background check, including criminal and motor vehicle record checks (SSN needed)
• Complete a DOT pre-engagement drug test and submit to ongoing DOT drug and alcohol testing as required under FTA rules
• Submit to a CORI background check and ongoing monitoring through the Massachusetts Department of Public Utilities

Qualifications

Eligible to earn up to $23/hour after any vehicle-related expenses, up to $25/hour for driving a wheelchair-accessible vehicle after any vehicle-related expenses.
