About the role

Oakridge Equine Hospital in Edmond, OK is seeking a full-time Veterinary Assistant with equine anesthesia experience to support their busy and growing practice.

Responsibilities

• Aid veterinarians with appointments, procedures, and treatments.
• Maintain accurate medical records and support effective client communication.
• Safely handle and restrain horses.
• Run safe and effective equine anesthesia including inhalant and total intravenous anesthesia.

Requirements

• Excellent communication, organizational, and people skills.
• A background with equine knowledge.
• Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Initiative and willingness to quickly grasp the day-to-day functions of a fast-paced working environment.
• Previous experience with running anesthesia on horses preferred.

Qualifications

• RVT certification or equivalent.
• Experience with equine anesthesia.
