Veterinary Technician Supervisor - Surgery

About the role

VCA Animal Emergency and Referral Center is growing and seeks a Full-Time experienced Registered Veterinary Technician to join our team as a Surgery Supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Use the knowledge you've invested in to make a difference in the lives of pets and their families
• Utilize a wide range of skills including venipuncture, catheter placement, radiology, anesthesia induction and monitoring, physical examinations, patient assessment, surgical preparation and assisting, laboratory work, pharmacy, patient recovery, and compassionate care for hospitalized patients

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in veterinary technology and possess the following:

• Current registration as a Veterinary Technician
• Experience in a clinical setting, preferably in emergency or referral practice
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Passion for high-quality veterinary medicine and patient care

Qualifications

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience as a Registered Veterinary Technician, with a focus on surgery and emergency care.

Pay

$27.50 - $35.50 per hour

Schedule

4 days, 10-hour shift, Service is open Monday - Saturday
