Position Responsibilities
- Monitor anesthesia for surgical and dental procedures
- Prepare patients for surgery, including pre-operative treatments and catheter placement
- Perform accurate anesthetic calculations and maintain anesthesia records
- Closely monitor patient vitals throughout procedures and recovery
- Assist veterinarians during surgical and dental procedures
- Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed
- Perform venipuncture, laboratory sample collection, and diagnostic testing
- Educate clients on surgical procedures, discharge instructions, and at-home care
- Maintain accurate medical records and support daily hospital operations
- Collaborate with doctors and team members to provide exceptional patient care
Qualifications
- Current CVT, LVT, or RVT credential required
- Minimum 2 years of veterinary technician experience preferred
- Strong anesthesia monitoring and surgical nursing skills
- Comfortable with anesthetic induction, monitoring, and recovery
- Proficient in venipuncture, IV catheter placement, and medication administration
- Experience with dental procedures and dental radiographs is a plus
- Excellent communication and client education skills
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and team-focused
- Able to work efficiently in a busy hospital environment
