About the role

BluePearl Pet Hospital in Nashville, TN is hiring an exceptional Radiology Veterinary Technician. The role involves performing advanced diagnostic testing, preparing patients for ultrasound, safely restraining patients for procedures, placing intravenous catheters, performing phlebotomy, preparing slides for cytology, proficiently performing digital radiographs, monitoring patients during anesthesia or while sedated, and performing advanced imaging such as CT scans and MRI procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare patients for ultrasound
  • Safely restrain patients for procedures
  • Place intravenous catheters in all peripheral veins
  • Perform phlebotomy
  • Prepare slides for cytology
  • Proficiently perform digital radiographs
  • Monitor patients during anesthesia or while sedated
  • Perform advanced imaging such as CT scans and MRI procedures
  • Mentor and train other co-workers
  • Address client concerns with patience and empathy

Requirements

A high school diploma or equivalent is required. A veterinary technician degree or certification from a recognized program is preferred. Experience in radiology is preferred but not required. Must have a strong passion for mentoring and training others. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.

Qualifications

Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. Must be able to lift and move patients and equipment. Must be able to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Skills

Strong knowledge of veterinary radiology techniques. Proficiency in using radiology equipment. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Pay

Compensation is commensurate with experience.
