Veterinary Technician - Radiology
About the role
The Radiology Technician at BluePearl Pet Hospital will perform advanced diagnostic testing including x-rays, CT, nuclear imaging, digital fluoroscopy, and MRI. Key responsibilities include preparing patients for ultrasound, safely restraining patients for procedures, placing intravenous catheters, performing phlebotomy, preparing slides for cytology, and proficiently performing digital radiographs. Additional duties include monitoring patients during anesthesia or while sedated, performing advanced imaging such as CT scans and MRI procedures, and mentoring and training other co-workers.
Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for ultrasound
- Safely restrain patients for procedures
- Place intravenous catheters in all peripheral veins
- Perform phlebotomy
- Prepare slides for cytology
- Proficiently perform digital radiographs
- Monitor patients during anesthesia or while sedated
- Perform advanced imaging such as CT scans and MRI procedures
- Mentor and train other co-workers
- Address client concerns with patience and empathy
Requirements

Qualifications
Applicants must have a valid, unrestricted license to practice veterinary technology in the United States and not require future sponsorship for an employment-based green card.

Pay
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $40.00 per hour, with compensation dependent on experience and advancement through the competency leveling system.
