About the role
At Dogs and Cats Emergency Specialists (DCES), you'll be part of a dynamic team committed to providing exceptional veterinary care. Your responsibilities will include:
Responsibilities
- Nursing care and critical thinking skills
- Efficiently working in a fast-paced, high-intensity environment
- Calculating doses and administering intravenous drugs and fluids
- Monitoring patients under anesthesia
- Obtaining and analyzing laboratory samples
- Interpreting animal behavior
- Catheter placement
- Stamina to handle active animals
Requirements
- At least one year of experience as a Veterinary Technician
- Strong desire to learn and grow
- Ability to work independently
- Proficiency in various veterinary procedures
Qualifications
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work weekends, holidays, and on-call
- Shares the hospital’s mission, vision, and values
Skills
- Telepathic skills (a plus!)
- Stamina comparable to an athlete
- Strong time management and task prioritization

Pay
Compensation is based on experience and skill level, ranging from $23.00 to $29.00 per hour.
Schedule
- 3/ 12-hour shifts per week
- Overnights
- Weekends, holidays, and on-call as needed
