About the Role
Fetch Specialty & Emergency Veterinary Centers, a family-owned veterinary hospital, is seeking a Veterinary Technician to join our Ophthalmology team in Greenville, South Carolina. Responsibilities
- Assist our board-certified Ophthalmologist in performing eye examinations, diagnosing ocular conditions, and planning treatments
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Perform diagnostic tests including tonometry, fluorescein staining, digital imaging, and ultrasound as needed
- Monitor anesthetized patients during surgical procedures and assist in post-operative care
- Educate pet owners about eye health, treatment plans, and medication administration
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation of patient care
- Ensure a clean and safe work environment
- Participate in continuing education and stay updated on advancements in veterinary ophthalmology
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Certification as a Veterinary Technician (CVT, LVT, RVT) is preferred
- Experience in veterinary ophthalmology is a plus
