About the role

The Oncology Veterinary Technician will play an important role in pets' lives by providing comprehensive care throughout their journey. This role involves supporting the oncology service, administering IV and oral chemotherapy, performing treatments, monitoring patients, and assisting in the care of patients. This position will have direct contact with clients and their pets.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Experience in veterinary oncology and chemotherapy administration
  • Veterinary Technician experience required
  • Phlebotomy and IV catheter skills required
  • Ability to monitor and recognize patient's status, adverse reactions, and side effects of treatments
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively with clients, the oncology team, and other departments
  • Familiarity with Ezy Vet and Smartflow is preferred

Qualifications

  • Experience in veterinary oncology and chemotherapy administration
  • Veterinary Technician experience required

Pay

Compensation negotiable based on credentials and experience with an hourly pay rate starting at $20-22/ hour. The actual rate offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Schedule

Full-time: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday 7a-6p
