Veterinary Technician - Internal Medicine

About the role

VCA Northview Animal Hospital Specialty Referral Center is seeking a Full-Time Veterinary Technician to join the Internal Medicine (IM) team. The position offers a pay range of $21-$27 per hour and operates primarily during daytime hours Monday through Thursday.

Responsibilities

• Create a positive, low-stress atmosphere for clients and patients
• Aid in all aspects of the IM department flow
• Perform diagnostics including digital radiography, ECG, digital ultrasound, endoscopy, CT, chemotherapy administration, monitoring anesthesia, maintaining treatments while in hospital, and admitting and discharging patients
• Assist with various procedures such as venipuncture, cather placement, and maintaining treatments while in hospital
• Admit and discharge patients as needed

Requirements

Must have a valid Pennsylvania license as a Veterinary Technician

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Veterinary Technology preferred
• Experience in a referral setting is a plus
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact with clients and staff
• Proficiency in electronic medical records systems

• Knowledge of veterinary medicine and clinical procedures
