Veterinary Technician - Internal Medicine

Job Summary

BluePearl Pet Hospital is seeking a knowledgeable and skilled Veterinary Technician to join their fast-paced Internal Medicine department. The ideal candidate will liaise between internists and clients, assist with various procedures, and provide client education.

Responsibilities

• Set up constant rate infusions (CRI)
• Calculate all medical math including advanced and CRI (mcg/mg, %/mg, etc.)
• Induce, monitor, and recover anesthesia
• Set up for ultrasound and radiology procedures
• Set up and assist with endoscopic procedures (GI, nasal, urinary, airway)
• Clean and maintain equipment following procedure
• Discharge IM patients from the hospital, including basic client education such as insulin injection, SQ fluid, and feeding tube demonstrations
• Additional job duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Strong anesthesia and phlebotomy skills required
• Unrestricted, current authorization to work in the U.S.
• Not requiring future sponsorship for an employment-based green card
