Veterinary Technician Emergency
About the role
VCA Capital Area Veterinary Emergency and Specialty Animal Hospital is seeking an enthusiastic veterinary technician to join our growing ER care team full time. Credentials desired but not required. At VCA CAVES, we care for our canine and feline companions and also work with local wildlife rescuers and rehabilitators.
Responsibilities
- Anesthesia procedural monitoring
- Full Technician Skill Utilization
- Collecting patient histories & physical exams
- Medication refills, and Pet parent communication
- Proficient in medical calculations
- Venipuncture / IVC placement
- Hands Free Radiology (Associate safety a top priority)
- Working collaboratively with team members of all hospital services
- Providing compassionate care for all patients
Requirements
Potential Schedule: Full-time Day, Swing, or ON available
Compensation: $ 20 - $35 / hour dependent on experience, skill set, and licensure status (VA - CVT) VAs ($20-$32) CVTs ($25-$37)
