Veterinary Technician - Emergency

About the role

The Veterinary Technician position at Heart of Texas is part of the Thrive Pet Healthcare community. This role is available for 3-day, 12-hour shifts including Saturdays, Sundays, and Mondays from 12pm-12am. Compensation is negotiable based on experience and credentials, with an expected starting range of $23.50– $26 / hour. The hospital offers a shift differential.

About You

The Ideal Candidate:

• Strong veterinary skills
• Able to appropriately handle animals
• Able to assist in veterinary medical procedures
• Recent experience in a veterinary practice
• Willing to work weekends and holidays

Job Requirements

• At least 3 years recent experience in veterinary practice
• Ability to perform routine veterinary medical procedures
• Excellent interpersonal communications skills
• High school diploma or GED
• Veterinary Technician license is preferred
• Previous emergency experience preferred but not required
