About the role
The Cat Doctor, a Gold-Level Feline Friendly Practice, is growing and looking to add 2–3 Registered Veterinary Technicians (or recent grads awaiting the VTNE) to our progressive, well-equipped clinic where technicians truly get to use their skills. We offer technician appointments for patients in need of certain vaccine boosters, blood draws, nail trims, and more. We also have a small boarding facility with shared care responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Perform all aspects of feline care including surgery, anesthesia, dentistry, pharmacy, radiology, and laboratory testing
- Provide client education and connect with clients
- Utilize fear-free handling techniques
- Assist with boarding facility care responsibilities
Requirements
- Cat-savvy and positive team player
- Comfortable with fear-free handling
- Versed in all aspects of veterinary care (surgery, anesthesia, dentistry, pharmacy, radiology, laboratory testing, client education)
- Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) or recent graduate awaiting the VTNE
Schedule
- Full-time, 4–5 days per week (32+ hours)
- 9-hour day shifts, some weekends
Pay
$24–$27/hour (DOE)
