Hayes Barton Animal Hospital is Hiring an Experienced Veterinary Technician or Veterinary Assistant!

Responsibilities
- Aid veterinarians during examinations, treatments, surgeries, and procedures
- Perform venipuncture, IV catheter placement, laboratory sample collection, and diagnostics
- Maintain accurate medical records and patient documentation
- Monitor anesthesia and assist with surgical procedures
- Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed
- Provide compassionate nursing care throughout each patient's visit
- Collaborate with teammates to provide exceptional patient care and client service
- Communicate effectively with clients about medications, treatment plans, and preventive care
Requirements
- Previous veterinary technician or veterinary assistant experience
- Strong technical skills, including venipuncture, IV catheter placement, laboratory procedures, and anesthesia monitoring
- Confidence interpreting laboratory results and supporting patient care
- Outstanding communication and client service skills
- Compassion for patients, clients, and coworkers
- A positive attitude and collaborative, team-first mindset
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Passion for providing exceptional veterinary medicine
Qualifications
- Current North Carolina license or ability to obtain within six months of hire
- VTNE certification or willingness to obtain within six months of hire
