Hayes Barton Animal Hospital is Hiring an Experienced Veterinary Technician or Veterinary Assistant!

Responsibilities

• Aid veterinarians during examinations, treatments, surgeries, and procedures
• Perform venipuncture, IV catheter placement, laboratory sample collection, and diagnostics
• Maintain accurate medical records and patient documentation
• Monitor anesthesia and assist with surgical procedures
• Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed
• Provide compassionate nursing care throughout each patient's visit
• Collaborate with teammates to provide exceptional patient care and client service
• Communicate effectively with clients about medications, treatment plans, and preventive care

Requirements

• Previous veterinary technician or veterinary assistant experience
• Strong technical skills, including venipuncture, IV catheter placement, laboratory procedures, and anesthesia monitoring
• Confidence interpreting laboratory results and supporting patient care
• Outstanding communication and client service skills
• Compassion for patients, clients, and coworkers
• A positive attitude and collaborative, team-first mindset
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Passion for providing exceptional veterinary medicine

Qualifications

• Current North Carolina license or ability to obtain within six months of hire
• VTNE certification or willingness to obtain within six months of hire
