About the role

Rowlett Veterinary Clinic, a proud Thrive Pet Healthcare partner, is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join their growing team.

Responsibilities

• Supporting veterinarians during exams, treatments, and procedures
• Preparing patients and surgical instruments for procedures
• Providing surgical assistance and post-operative nursing care
• Administering medications and treatments as prescribed
• Aiding with outpatient treatments and in-house laboratory testing
• Supporting patient flow through admissions and discharges
• Collecting patient histories and maintaining accurate medical records
• Maintaining clean, organized, and sterile treatment, exam, and lab areas
• Communicating with clients about pet health concerns, medications, and treatment plans
• Collaborating with team members to ensure efficient hospital operations

Requirements

• 1–2 years of clinical veterinary experience required
• CVT/LVT/RVT credentials encouraged
• Strong technical and organizational skills
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic
• Excellent communication skills and teamwork mindset
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Commitment to creating a low-stress, compassionate experience for patients
