Responsibilities
- Aid veterinarians during exams, treatments, and surgical procedures
- Safely restrain animals and ensure patient comfort
- Maintain accurate medical records
- Communicate clearly with pet owners regarding care and treatment plans
- Monitor anesthesia and support surgical prep and recovery
- Collect and process laboratory samples (blood, urine, fecal)
- Administer medications and vaccinations as directed
- Take and develop radiographs
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of veterinary technician experience
- Strong knowledge of animal handling and basic medical procedures
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Certification (RVT/CVT/LVT) preferred but not required
