Veterinary Technician

About the role

Michigan Road Animal Hospital at Crooked Creek seeks a motivated and compassionate experienced Veterinary Technician or Patient Care Provider to join our patient care team. We offer high-quality medicine including preventative care, surgery, dentistry, dental radiology, digital radiology, and cold laser therapy. Our AHAA-accredited hospital provides a positive work environment focused on high standards of client and patient care. Technicians work closely with doctors, patients, and their owners, contributing to a fast-paced, challenging, educational, and rewarding experience.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with doctors, patients, and their owners
• Provide exceptional service to clients and care to patients
• Perform patient care tasks such as patient preparation, anesthesia monitoring, dental prophylaxis, IV catheter placement, dental and digital radiology, venipuncture, sample preparation, and client education
• Operate in a fast-paced, challenging, and educational environment

Requirements

• Previous experience in a veterinary hospital in the following areas: Patient Care, Surgery Prep and recovery, Anesthesia Monitoring, Dental Prophylaxis, I.V. Catheter placement, Dental & Digital Radiology, Venipuncture, Preparing samples for in-house IDEXX machines or reference lab, Client Education
• At least 1 year in-hospital experience or an Associate’s Degree in Veterinary Technology

Pay

Salary will be commensurate with experience.

Schedule

This position offers a flexible weekday schedule and some Saturdays, no Sundays or major holidays.
