Veterinary Technician

About the role

SAHO Animal Hospital is a 24/7 Emergency and General Practice hospital seeking experienced Veterinary Technicians to support our expanding ICU, ER, and GP services.

What You’ll Do

• ICU / ER Focus (Primary Need)
• Provide care for hospitalized and critical patients in a 24/7 veterinary hospital setting
• Aid with triage and intake of high-acuity emergency cases
• Monitor anesthesia and support emergency and surgical procedures
• Participate in daily rounds and ongoing ICU patient care
• Manage a wide range of cases, from moderate to critical
• General Practice Support (as needed)
• Absorb in exam rooms, urgent care appointments, and treatment areas
• Perform diagnostics, patient care, and client communication
• Support surgery and dental procedures outside of the ICU

What We’re Looking For

• Veterinary Technician experience required
• ER or ICU experience strongly preferred; strong GP technicians with an interest in emergency medicine are encouraged to apply
• Ability to multitask and stay calm in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
• Confidence handling urgent and critical cases
• Proactive, team-oriented mindset with strong initiative
• Commitment to high-quality patient care and continuous learning

Schedule

Full-time preferred
Day shift coverage between 6:45 AM and 12:00 AM
Schedule will vary based on hospital needs

Compensation & Benefits

• $20–$23/hour starting rate, flexibility based on experience and skill level
• 50% employee pet discount (most services)
