Veterinary Technician

About the role

We’re looking for an experienced Veterinary Technician (1+ years) to join our GP small animal practice. You’ll be a key player in delivering exceptional outpatient care, surgical support, lab work, and radiology services.

Responsibilities

• Support outpatient exams, including patient histories, restraint, client education, and vaccine protocols
• Perform in-house lab work (CBCs, UA, cytology)
• Capture radiographs (experience with calibration a plus)
• Use your skills with confidence, communicate clearly, and multitask in a fast-paced environment

Requirements

• Experience as a Veterinary Technician (1+ years)
• Strong communication and multitasking skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Basic knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy

Qualifications

• Current VTOMS certification or willing to obtain within 6 months of hire
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Passing score on the AQT exam (if applicable)

• Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and effectively
• Attention to detail and ability to multi-task

Pay

$19–$28/hr based on experience and certifications

Schedule

• 4x10s or 5x8s – your choice
• Rotating Saturday half-days
• No overnights or Sundays
