Veterinary Technician

About the role

Pleasant Pet Care is seeking an experienced Veterinary Technician or Assistant to join our energetic and talented team. We are a privately owned small animal veterinary clinic located just miles from the beautiful beaches of South Carolina.

Responsibilities

- Provide compassionate and professional care to patients under the supervision of veterinarians. - Assist in routine check-ups, surgeries, and other medical procedures. - Administer medications and treatments as directed. - Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality. - Communicate effectively with clients regarding their pets' health and treatment plans. - Participate in team meetings and training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.

Requirements

- Three years or more of experience as a Veterinary Technician or Assistant. - Excellent communication skills. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team. - Valid license is preferred but not required.

- Positive attitude and ability to maintain a cheerful demeanor. - Strong organizational and time management skills. - Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and professionally. - Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and procedures.
