Veterinary Technician

About the role

Veterinarian Technician positions are available at Massachusetts Veterinary Referral Hospital in Woburn, MA. These roles offer full-time opportunities in multiple departments, including Anesthesia, Recovery, Emergency, and Critical Care.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced nursing care for emergency, critical care, anesthesia, and recovery patients
• Maintain accurate medical records and uphold hospital protocols
• Communicate clearly with doctors, teammates, and clients
• Triage and monitor high-acuity emergency and ICU patients
• Support DVMs with diagnostics, treatments, procedures, and patient care plans
• Work collaboratively across ER, ICU, anesthesia, surgery, and specialty teams

Requirements

• Experience as a Veterinary Technician
• CVT, RVT, or LVT certification preferred
• Emergency, ICU, anesthesia, surgery, or specialty experience strongly preferred
• Strong patient monitoring, technical nursing, and communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced emergency and specialty hospital environment
• Team-focused mindset with a commitment to patient care and client service
• Fluent English speaking and reading skills required

Qualifications

Pay

• Anesthesia: up to $39/hour, with higher rates for VTS technicians
• Recovery: up to $32/hour, with additional earning potential for VTS technicians
• Emergency & ICU: up to $38/hour, based on experience and skill level
