Veterinary Technician

About the role

LaVale Veterinary Hospital is seeking an experienced Credentialed Veterinary Technician to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will bring a current LVT, RVT, or CVT credential, at least 2 years of hands-on veterinary technician experience, confidence in key procedures, strong communication skills, and a flexible schedule to accommodate occasional second or third shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provide thoughtful, hands-on patient care and nursing support
• Perform radiographs, place IV catheters, draw blood, and assist in procedures and surgeries
• Maintain accurate medical records and follow hospital protocols
• Communicate effectively with clients regarding patient care and treatment plans
• Support a collaborative and positive team environment

Requirements

• Current LVT, RVT, or CVT credential
• At least 2 years of hands-on veterinary technician experience in a clinical setting
• Confidence in triage, IV catheter placement, phlebotomy, radiology, anesthesia, and critical patient monitoring
• Strong communication skills with clients and team members
• Ability to work efficiently both independently and collaboratively
• A calm, compassionate demeanor with strong attention to detail
• Flexibility and interest in occasional 2nd or 3rd shift opportunities

Competitive pay structure + shift differentials, including $5/hour for second shift and $9/hour for third shift. Schedule

Full-Time | Monday–Friday, 8 AM–5 PM + Rotating Weekends

Pay

Pay Range: $21.00–$25.00/hour based on experience
