Washington County Veterinary Hospital is seeking a full-time experienced veterinary technician to join their team in Wakefield, Rhode Island. Located near inlets to the ocean, the hospital provides exceptional veterinary care and encourages a work-life balance.

Responsibilities

• Properly handle and restrain animals
• Room patients
• Assist in surgery
• Surgical recovery
• Place IV catheters
• Draw blood and run bloodwork
• Use laboratory equipment
• Position x-rays
• Be a positive and supportive team player

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience working as a Veterinary Technician
• Knowledge of industry tools and equipment
• Knowledge of animal behavior and healthcare
• Experience with proper animal handling and restraint
• Passion for working with animals and their owners
• Team Player willing to continue to learn
• Excellent communication and organizational skills

Qualifications

Salary: Up to $30.00 hourly based upon experience.

Sign-n Bonus: Eligibility for a sign-on bonus up to $3500.00 based on experience and surgical/anesthesia experience.
