About the role
ReadiVet is seeking a veterinary assistant or technician to join its growing clinic team. ReadiVet is dedicated to providing an elevated standard of care for every client’s furry companions by trading the waiting room for the living room. We are leading the way in mobile, in-home veterinary care, ensuring that pet owners get access to a higher level of clinical expertise while reducing stress for their pets.
Responsibilities
- One-on-one client and pet interactions
- Better pace and work/life balance: a typical day for our veterinary teams is limited to 8-10 patients
- Flexible schedules (no evenings, late nights, or weekends)
- Employee-centered culture and operating model
- Predominantly in-home patient care
- Direct interaction with leadership and influence over policies (we value transparency, with clear, straightforward communication)
- No on-call duty
- No walk-ins that lead to double or triple-booked appointments
Requirements
- 3-5 years of veterinary assistant experience and/or veterinary technician license, Proficiency in surgery, dental rads, and procedures
- Must be comfortable and confident in caring for patients in front of clients, including restraining animals, performing blood draws, placing catheters, preparing for surgery, and performing dental cleanings with x-ray, among other tasks
- Must be an excellent communicator and comfortable speaking with clients
- Must be a team player
- Must be able to work 4-day work week, 8:00 am- 6:00 pm
- Must be able to lift and carry 50 lbs. with assistance
