About the role
All Creatures Veterinary Clinic is seeking a full-time Veterinary Technician to support their 4-doctor practice. Techs work 4-10 hours per day.
Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians during exams and procedures
- Triage patients and triage calls
- Administer medications and treatments
- Perform routine medical procedures
- Handle administrative tasks such as charting and billing
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Veterinary Technology or related field
- Current license to practice as a Veterinary Technician in Alaska
- Experience in a veterinary setting preferred
Qualifications
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Positive attitude and ability to handle stressful situations
Skills
- Proficient in electronic medical records systems
- Knowledgeable in animal anatomy and physiology
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
