About the role
South Carolina Veterinary Specialists & Emergency Care in Columbia, SC is seeking a Board-Certified or residency-trained Soft Tissue Surgeon to join their busy emergency and specialty hospital.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive surgical care to patients in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
- Collaborate with other specialists to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and continuing education.
- Contribute to the hospital’s mission of providing top-notch patient care.
Requirements
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) or equivalent degree.
- A State Veterinary Board License and must be in good standing for the state in which they intend to be hired, before their start date.
- An active DEA license or eligibility for DEA licensure.
- Board Certification in Veterinary Surgery or residency training in a related field.
Qualifications
- Experience in soft tissue surgery preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Skills
- Proven surgical skills and experience.
- Effective leadership and management skills.
- Ability to handle stressful situations and prioritize tasks effectively.
