Veterinary Surgeon - Soft Tissue

About the role

South Carolina Veterinary Specialists & Emergency Care in Columbia, SC is seeking a Board-Certified or residency-trained Soft Tissue Surgeon to join their busy emergency and specialty hospital.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive surgical care to patients in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
• Collaborate with other specialists to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and continuing education.
• Contribute to the hospital’s mission of providing top-notch patient care.

Requirements

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) or equivalent degree.
• A State Veterinary Board License and must be in good standing for the state in which they intend to be hired, before their start date.
• An active DEA license or eligibility for DEA licensure.
• Board Certification in Veterinary Surgery or residency training in a related field.

Qualifications

• Experience in soft tissue surgery preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Skills

• Proven surgical skills and experience.
• Effective leadership and management skills.
• Ability to handle stressful situations and prioritize tasks effectively.
