About the role

The Arizona Regional Intensive Care, Specialty and Emergency (ARISE) in Queen Creek is seeking a residency-trained veterinarian or board-certified surgeon to join their team. ARISE is known for its strong foundation in emergency and critical care, with a team of 9 Board-Certified Criticalists and 2 VTS in ECC providing anesthesia support and ICU oversight. The hospital collaborates with various specialty services including cardiology, radiology, internal medicine, surgery, and critical care, and works closely with local general practitioners to ensure long-term care for patients.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with a team of 9 Board-Certified Criticalists and 2 VTS in ECC for anesthesia support and ICU oversight.
  • Engage in rotations within specialty services and a surgical internship as the team grows.
  • Utilize advanced imaging technologies such as a GE Mobile 1.5T MRI, 128 slice CT, flexible and rigid video endoscopy, multiple ultrasound units, digital radiography, and OEC Elite Vascular mobile c-arm fluoroscopy.
  • Perform a wide range of surgical procedures using Storz laparoscopy and arthroscopy towers, Ligasure bipolar vessel sealing devices, smoke evacuator units, and all necessary instrumentation.
  • Provide care in a 32,000 square foot facility equipped with mechanical ventilation and extracorporeal therapies, as well as a 2,000-square-foot conference center and administrative offices.
  • Participate in a successful blood donor program ensuring access to blood products for patients.

Requirements

To be considered, candidates must hold a DVM degree from an AVMA-accredited institution, be licensed to practice veterinary medicine in the state of Arizona, and have completed a residency program or board certification in a relevant field.
