Your Role as a Veterinary Surgeon
As a vital member of our Surgery team, you'll play a hands-on role in delivering advanced surgical care to patients, performing both routine and emergency procedures, collaborating with our multidisciplinary team, and utilizing state-of-the-art diagnostic and surgical technology to achieve the best possible outcomes. You'll build and manage a diverse surgical caseload, communicate closely with referring veterinarians and clients, mentor and support technical staff, and contribute to the continued growth of our surgery service through education, collaboration, and exceptional patient care. This position is ideal for a compassionate, highly skilled, and curious individual who thrives in fast-paced, collaborative environments and wants to make a difference every single day. You’ll use your expertise to:
- Perform advanced soft tissue, orthopedic, and emergency surgical procedures.
- Diagnose, treat, and manage surgical cases from consultation through recovery.
- Utilize advanced diagnostic imaging and surgical technology.
- Collaborate with specialists, emergency clinicians, technicians, and referring veterinarians.
- Communicate treatment plans, estimates, and follow-up care with clients.
- Maintain accurate medical records and participate in hospital rounds and meetings.
- Mentor technical staff and support continuing education and hospital outreach.
- Deliver compassionate, ethical, and high-quality patient care.
Requirements
- A Colorado Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) License.
- Board Certification through ACVS.
- Registration with DORA AVMA PLIT.
- Insurance DEA License.
Schedule
Scheduled days and hours are based on caseload and the operational needs of the hospital. We are also open to considering part-time and locum veterinarians. Additional schedule details will be discussed and outlined in the employment agreement.
