Veterinary Surgeon
About the role
Since 2010, VetMED has been a leader in advanced veterinary medicine, fostering collaboration among specialists and emergency clinicians. As part of our growing Surgery team, you'll work alongside our on-site Dermatology service, Critical Care, and a busy 24/7 Emergency team. The hospital is led by an on-site Assistant Medical Director (DACVECC), providing experienced clinical leadership and cultivating a collaborative, team-oriented culture focused on exceptional patient care.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with specialists and surgeons within the Ethos Veterinary Health network
- Provide advanced surgical services in a state-of-the-art facility
- Work closely with a supportive team of technicians and support staff
- Participate in a robust continuing education program
Requirements
- Board-certified or residency-trained Veterinary Surgeon
- Experience in advanced surgical procedures
- Strong clinical skills and a passion for veterinary medicine
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Qualifications
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree
- Current licensure to practice veterinary medicine in Arizona
- Passing scores on relevant board examinations
Skills
- Advanced surgical techniques
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in medical terminology and protocols
- Ability to manage a high volume of cases efficiently
