About the role

Route 66 Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Center is seeking a Residency-Trained or Boarded Veterinary Surgeon to join their collaborative, growing team in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Responsibilities

• Provide surgical care in a 24/7 hospital setting
• Collaborate with a team of specialists including a Criticalist and plans to bring on Internal Medicine and Surgery services
• Participate in journal clubs, open case discussions, and inter-doctor support
• Engage in monthly wellness themes and team-building events

Requirements

• Residency-trained or board-certified in surgery
• Experience in emergency medicine and critical care
• Strong clinical skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively

Qualifications

• Current AVMA accreditation
• AVMA-approved residency training in surgery
• Board certification in surgery

• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-stress environment
