Veterinary Sterile Supply Assistant

About the role

BluePearl Pet Hospital in Charlestown, MA is seeking a dedicated Sterile Supply Assistant to join our Surgery team.

Schedule

• Week day shifts

Pay

• $20.00 - $27.00 / hour
• This pay band is dependent on experience and advancement through our competency assessment tool.

Requirements

• Must have prior sterile pack experience
• Self-motivated, positive attitude
• Organized and focused on maintaining high-quality instruments and patient care through sterile preparation

Responsibilities

• Prepare instruments and operating room for surgery
• Troubleshoot and remove faulty equipment from service to submit for repair or replacement
• Maintain appropriate quantities of surgical supplies and equipment
• Decontaminate and clean operating rooms, sterile supply room, and equipment according to established procedures
• Clean and sterilize instruments and wrap packs
• Serve as a resource/reference to surgical team with regards to surgical equipment
