About the role

The Quality Control Lab Assistant supports the QC Department by performing a variety of tasks under the supervision of a QC Lead Microbiologist or equivalent. This role involves providing documentation support, maintaining lab cleanliness, managing sample tracking, and assisting with data entry and analysis.

Responsibilities

• Provide documentation support of testing and monitoring activities in the QC lab
• Perform general housekeeping duties in the QC lab, including cleaning and maintaining test equipment
• Receive and log testing samples into databases/test tracking systems
• Arrange testing samples for contract labs and track samples, liaising with contract labs for timely reporting
• Record keeping of quality reports, statistical reviews, and relevant documents
• Perform data entry for analysis
• Other relevant duties as assigned

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of college-level biology or chemistry
• Current work towards a B.S. in biology, chemistry, biochemistry, or a related scientific discipline preferred
• 0-2 years of relevant experience in general lab safety and adherence to Good Laboratory Practices
• General knowledge of manufacturing processes, water systems, cell culture, chemistry, and microbiology
• Basic knowledge of laboratory equipment (e.g., scales, pH meters)
• Good computer system and productivity skills
• Ability to communicate effectively in English

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Current work towards a B.S. in biology, chemistry, biochemistry, or a related scientific discipline preferred

Pay

For California, the base salary range for this position is $20.84 - $27.19 per hour. Compensation for the successful candidate will be determined based on various factors such as qualifications, education, prior experience, and location.

1st shift - 5:00 AM - 1:30 PM
