About the Role

Join a new veterinary rehabilitation facility and work alongside a Board-Certified Veterinarian in Sports Medicine & Rehabilitation. Our dedicated rehabilitation department is designed to help patients recover, rebuild, and thrive—from post-operative recovery and orthopedic injuries to sports conditioning, chronic mobility challenges, neurologic rehabilitation, pain management, weight management, and performance optimization. Whether helping a beloved companion regain mobility after surgery or helping a canine athlete return to peak performance, you'll be part of a team dedicated to restoring function, improving quality of life, and changing the way veterinary patients heal.

Schedule

  • Full-time position working four 10-hour weekdays
  • Example: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday: 8:00 AM - 6:30 PM (may vary)
  • Flexibility is appreciated as we grow our service
  • Some holidays are required

Compensation

  • Pay range $25-$38+, commensurate with experience and licensure
  • Eligible for up to $5,000.00 sign-on bonus

Qualifications

  • ME technician license in good standing or transferable CVT/RVT
  • Additional training in canine rehabilitation preferred but not required (CCRP, CCRT, CCAT, VTS)
  • 1-3 years experience working as an LVT or CVT preferred
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work with a collaborative and integrative team, which frequently involves working closely with other hospital services such as surgery and neurology

Job Requirements

  • Assist with lameness workups including obtaining vital signs, placing IV catheters, administering and monitoring sedation, obtaining diagnostic imaging, collecting and submitting lab samples, and facilitating interventional procedures such as joint injections
  • Safely restrain and transfer patients of all sizes and physical abilities (some will be unable to stand or move without substantial support) – must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Facilitate patient intake and discharges
  • Provide prescribed physical rehabilitation, and excellent nursing care for inpatients and outpatients
  • Assemble and fit assistive devices such as canine carts and Help 'Em Up harnesses to promote independent mobility
  • Perform prescribed physical modalities such as underwater treadmill, laser therapy and shockwave
  • Order, restock, and maintain supplies and rehabilitation equipment
