Veterinary Rehabilitation Scheduling Coordinator

Responsibilities

• Answer and respond to all phone calls from clients, Referral Partners, and Pharmacies; log all conversations and check/record voicemails.
• Serve as backup to the switchboard coordinator for incoming calls.
• Call for referral information on new or recheck patient appointments.
• Coordinate with the clinical team and update the departmental schedule calendar.
• Check for incoming referral faxes at the front desk or communication center.
• Organize records in hard charts for next-day specialty appointments.
• Check appointment emails throughout the day and email electronic records/x-rays to relevant departments, including radiology.
• Fax referral letters (location-dependent).
• Make copies as needed for client handouts and cage sheet change forms.
• Call clients to remind them of appointments and drop-offs for the next day.
• Monitor and restock department supplies, and maintain cleanliness in work areas.
