Veterinary Regional Manager - Central Florida

As our Regional Manager, you'll lead approximately five veterinary hospitals throughout the Central Florida market. This field-based leadership role requires 40–60% travel throughout the region, with the opportunity to support additional markets as VIP continues to grow. You'll partner closely with Practice Managers, Medical Directors, and hospital teams to drive operational excellence while preserving the unique culture of each hospital. This position reports directly to our CEO, offering exceptional visibility, executive mentorship, and the opportunity to help shape the continued growth of Veterinary Innovative Partners.

Responsibilities

  • Leadership & Team Development
    • Coach, mentor, and develop Practice Managers and hospital leaders through regular one-on-one meetings and performance coaching.
    • Foster an engaged, collaborative, and accountable culture across the region.
    • Partner with recruiting and hospital leadership to attract, hire, and retain exceptional talent.
    • Create leadership development plans and support succession planning.
    • Conduct performance reviews and provide coaching, feedback, and employee relations support.
    • Champion VIP's culture and support Team Member engagement initiatives.
  • Hospital Operations
    • Support approximately five veterinary hospitals while ensuring operational consistency and excellence.
    • Build strong partnerships with Practice Managers and Medical Directors.
    • Provide operational leadership during leadership transitions when needed.
    • Ensure compliance with company policies, employment practices, and operational standards.
    • Support hospital scheduling, staffing, and workflow optimization.
  • Financial Leadership
    • Own regional financial performance, including revenue growth, labor management, cost of goods, and EBITDA.
    • Analyze financial reports and develop action plans to improve performance.
    • Partner with hospital leaders on budgeting, forecasting, and achieving financial goals.
    • Drive accountability around hospital productivity and operational efficiencies.
  • Client Experience
    • Champion an exceptional client and patient experience across every hospital.
    • Support initiatives that drive new client growth, client retention, and outstanding service.
    • Help hospitals maintain high client satisfaction and Net Promoter Scores.
  • Growth & Innovation
    • Identify opportunities to improve hospital operations, efficiency, and Team Member engagement.
    • Partner with Marketing to support local growth initiatives and community engagement.
    • Encourage innovative solutions that improve the client, patient, and Team Member experience.
    • Help prepare the region for future growth opportunities.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of veterinary practice leadership experience.
  • Multi-location management experience required.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience managing P&Ls and operating budgets.
  • Proven ability to coach, mentor, and develop leaders.
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills.
  • Highly organized with the ability to prioritize multiple hospitals and initiatives.
  • Comfortable leading through change and supporting hospitals during leadership transitions.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 40–60% throughout the assigned region.

Skills

  • Proven expertise in P&L management, budget oversight, and strategic planning.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with a track record of building, leading, and inspiring teams across multi-location settings.
  • Exceptional organizational abilities, with a focus on process improvement and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Proficient in implementing data-driven strategies to achieve business goals and improve operational outcomes.

Location and Travel

This role is based primarily in Central Florida and will primarily support hospitals throughout this region. Regular travel throughout the region is expected, along with periodic travel to our HQ in Franklin, Tennessee. Travel Requirement: 40–60%
