Veterinary Receptionist/VCA

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated Veterinary Receptionist to join our team at Arthur Lodge Vets in West Sussex. This role is ideal for someone passionate about animal care and customer service who wants to be the first point of contact for our clients and their pets.

Responsibilities

• Greet clients and their pets with a friendly and warm demeanour
• Schedule appointments and manage arrivals using the RX Works diary
• Promote and assist with the Healthcare Plan to ensure pets receive premium preventative care
• Book follow-up appointments after consultations
• Support the Vet and Nurse team with queries and paperwork
• Scan and manage digital records for client pets
• Handle client queries regarding appointments and medication collection
• Order food and medication as required
• Process payments immediately after treatment
• Manage 0% finance applications for clients wishing to spread the cost of larger operations
• Run a busy reception desk efficiently, handle emails, and manage social media pages

Schedule

• 40 hours per week across 5 days
• Split between reception and VCA duties
• 1 in 4 weekends on reception as part of the rota

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Veterinary Receptionist or in a similar customer-facing role within the veterinary or medical industry
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organisational abilities and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Genuine love for animals and commitment to delivering outstanding client service
• Proficiency in computer systems and software, with RX Works experience being highly advantageous
