Spartanburg Animal Clinic is seeking an experienced Veterinary Receptionist to join our friendly and professional team in Spartanburg, South Carolina. As the first point of contact for our clients, you will play an important role in creating a welcoming experience, coordinating communication, and helping each day run smoothly for our patients, clients, and medical team.

Responsibilities

  • Welcome clients and patients with warmth, professionalism, and compassion
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for clients in person and by phone
  • Answer incoming calls and respond to client questions
  • Schedule appointments and manage daily hospital calendars
  • Help prioritize scheduling needs and route medical concerns appropriately
  • Check clients and patients in and out for appointments
  • Process payments and provide receipts
  • Review invoices and help answer basic billing questions
  • Maintain accurate client and patient information
  • Enter and update information in the hospital's practice management software
  • Document client communication clearly and accurately
  • Communicate appointment instructions, hospital policies, and service information
  • Coordinate information between clients and the medical team
  • Assist with medical record requests and general administrative tasks
  • Maintain confidentiality of client and patient information
  • Help manage client expectations during busy or stressful situations
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area
  • Support veterinarians, technicians, assistants, and fellow reception team members
  • Help maintain an efficient front-desk and hospital workflow
  • Create a positive experience for every client and patient

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a veterinary or medical receptionist role
  • Experience with ezyVet is preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities
  • The ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Confidence managing multiple calls, appointments, and responsibilities
  • Comfort using computers and learning veterinary software
  • Strong attention to detail and accurate data-entry skills
  • A warm, professional, and approachable demeanor
  • Compassion for pets and the people who care for them
  • The ability to remain calm and empathetic during emotional situations

Salary is negotiable and based on experience.
