Position Details
Role: Experienced Veterinary Receptionist
Status: Full-time
Schedule: Monday-Saturday. 1-2 days off per week. Shifts are usually from 7:20 am - 4:30 pm or 5 pm. Or 8:30 am - 6:30 pm. Saturdays are 7:45 am - 2:30 pm
Salary: $17.00–$21.00 per hour, based on experience
What You'll Do
- Welcome clients and patients with warmth and professionalism
- Manage check-in, check-out, appointment scheduling, and a multi-line phone system
- Answer client questions regarding appointments, medications, and general pet care
- Process payments and maintain accurate client and patient records
- Cookordination patient flow with veterinarians and technicians
- Bring patients into exam rooms and obtain medical histories
- Record patient vital signs
- Assist veterinarians during routine examinations
- Safely restrain patients for examinations and sample collection
- Prepare vaccines, assist with laboratory work, and maintain clean, organized exam rooms

What Our Veterinary Receptionists Bring
- Minimum of 1–2 years of veterinary hospital experience
- Familiarity with veterinary terminology and common veterinary products
- Experience with veterinary software such as Avimark preferred
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and conflict-resolution abilities
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and stand for extended periods
- Positive attitude and commitment to exceptional client care
