Animal Emergency Clinic O'Fallon in Missouri is a 24/7 emergency veterinary hospital that has been a trusted lifeline for pet owners across the St. Louis region for nearly 40 years, offering after-hours and emergency care when pets need it most. The O'Fallon location stands out with advanced surgical capabilities including soft tissue, orthopedic, and ocular procedures — and is one of the few emergency clinics in the area to also provide emergency care for exotic pets.
Key Responsibilities
- Provides excellent customer service in-person, over the phone, and during high-stress situations.
- Manages lobby flow, addresses concerns, calms distressed owners, and schedules appointments.
- Handles basic medical emergencies for pets and owners, ensuring safety and well-being.
- Assists with medication pickups, inquiries, and provides information about services and products.
- Inputs and manages data in practice management software, including billing and accounts.
- Assists with retail sales, weighing pets, processing faxes, and maintaining records.
- Reconciles cash drawer and performs end-of-day duties for accurate financial transactions.
Qualifications (Required)
- Applicants must be 18 years of age or older to be considered for this position
- High school diploma or GED required, or equivalent combination of education, certification, training, and/or experience
- 0–1 years of customer service or reception experience, including client check-in/check-out. Willing to train.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with multi-line phone systems and cash handling.
Schedule
- Primarily day shifts, Thursday–Saturday, 7:00 AM–7:00 PM.
- Evening shifts may start anytime between 2:00 PM and 2:00 AM.
