Veterinary Receptionist

About the role
As a Veterinary Receptionist, you’ll be the first point of contact for clients, patients, and referring veterinarians while supporting our specialty and urgent care teams.
Responsibilities
- Welcome clients and patients while creating a positive and compassionate first impression
- Educate clients and referring veterinarians about hospital services and specialty care offerings
- Schedule appointments across multiple specialty departments and urgent care services
- Answer incoming phone calls and emails with professionalism and empathy
- Coordinate appointment reminders, follow-up communications, and client outreach
- Accurately maintain patient records, client information, and medical documentation
- Collaborate with veterinarians, technicians, and support staff to ensure a seamless client experience
- Support daily front desk operations while managing multiple priorities efficiently
Requirements
- Previous customer service, reception, or client-facing experience required
- Veterinary reception or animal hospital experience preferred
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and remain organized in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy with records and scheduling
- Professional, compassionate, and client-focused approach
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and unexpected situations
- Comfortable working collaboratively within a team-oriented environment
Qualifications
- Fluent English speaking and reading skills required
Skills
- Knowledge of veterinary practices and procedures
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Pay
- Hourly rate: $20-$22
Schedule
- Full-Time: Five 8-hour shifts or Four 10-hour shifts
- Hours scheduled between 7:30 AM – 7:00 PM
- Rotating weekends required
