Veterinary Receptionist

About the role

Our hospital is seeking a Veterinary Receptionist to help provide outstanding patient care and client service in a fast-paced, multi-doctor animal hospital. The Veterinary Receptionist is responsible for maintaining front of house duties. These tasks vary by day but can include: answering phone calls, scheduling appointments, greeting clients, maintaining hospital required paperwork and reviewing invoices or discharge instructions. To be successful in this role, clear communication and organizational skills are key!

Responsibilities

• Answer phone calls and manage client communications
• Schedule appointments
• Greet clients and manage front desk operations
• Maintain hospital required paperwork
• Review invoices and discharge instructions

Requirements

• Prior customer service experience
• Ability to lift 40 lbs
• Regular on-site presence required (essential function of the role)
• Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends
• Professionalism, dependability, and positive communication skills
• Ability to multi-task in a hands-on environment
• Compassionate and caring demeanor
• Strong work ethic with excellent social and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Self-starter who can complete daily tasks without constant direction
