Veterinary Receptionist
About the role
This is a part-time position where weekend availability is required. Our team is led by dedicated veterinarians with decades of experience in animal health. Our state-of-the-art facility is furnished with the latest technology and equipment to care for everything from minor to severe emergencies.
Responsibilities
- Maintain the visual appeal or the hospital reception area
- Greet and welcome clients and patients
- Answer questions and triage client concerns
- Answer calls or emails and direct to the appropriate party for resolution
- Schedule appointments to maximize efficiency and daily flow
- Check in and check out clients and process payments
- Offer friendly emotional support in a compassionate and discreet manner during times of need
- Must be comfortable with various medical outcomes
- May be exposed to unpleasant odors, noises, bites, scratches, animal waste, and potentially contagious diseases
Qualifications
- 2-years of professional receptionist or customer service experience required, veterinary receptionist experience preferred but not required
- Weekend availability is required
- Compassionate and calm team-player
- Ability to multi-task
- Strong communication skills
- Highly organized and possess computer skills
- Self-starter with the desire to continue to advance your knowledge and skillset
