Veterinary Receptionist

Located in Nashua, New Hampshire, we are an AAHA-accredited, small animal general practice seeing dogs, cats, birds, reptiles, and pocket pets. We provide services including wellness and sick appointments, surgical procedures, dentistry, radiology, ultrasounds, companion laser therapy, in-house laboratory diagnostics, and more.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome clients and patients personally by name, answer their questions, and triage concerns.
• Observe signs of fear, anxiety, and stress in animal patients and offer solutions to promote a fear-free experience.
• Answer incoming calls, emails, and text messages with solutions to client’s questions and concerns about their pet(s).
• Recognize and triage medical concerns so urgent needs are addressed in a timely manner.
• Offer clients compassionate emotional support during times of need; must be comfortable with various medical outcomes.
• Withstand unpleasant odors and noises; may be exposed to bites, scratches, animal waste, and potentially contagious diseases.

Requirements

• A minimum of 1 year of veterinary industry experience.
• Compassionate, calm, team player, multi-tasker, and strong communicator.
• Highly organized with excellent computer skills.
• Excellent reading, comprehension, and legible writing skills.
• Self-starter with the desire to continue advancing your knowledge and skillset.
