Veterinary Radiation Oncologist
About the role
Gulf Coast Veterinary Specialists (GCVS) is seeking a Radiation Oncologist to join the team and help grow our amazing service. Responsibilities
- Provide advanced radiation therapy modalities to treat various cancers
- Collaborate with other specialists to develop comprehensive treatment plans
- Participate in ongoing education and training programs to stay current with advancements in oncology
- Work closely with clients to explain treatment options and answer questions
- Contribute to the development and implementation of new protocols and technologies
Requirements
- MD or DO degree from an accredited institution
- Current license to practice medicine in the state of Texas
- Board certification in Radiation Oncology
- Experience with Varian Halcyon radiation therapy systems
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Qualifications
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Passion for veterinary medicine and a commitment to patient care
Skills
- Proficiency with oncology-specific software
- Effective leadership and management skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
