About the role
Since 1983, Oakhurst Veterinary Hospital has been providing high-quality veterinary services to dogs and cats across Monmouth County, the Jersey Shore, and New Jersey. We are an AAHA-accredited, Fear-Free, Cat-Friendly hospital with a large, multi-department team and a strong focus on client service, education, and excellent patient care. We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our dedicated team.
Responsibilities
- Accurately fill, label, and manage prescription refills in our pharmacy system.
- Communicate clearly with clients about medication requests, denials, and usage instructions.
- Educate clients on proper medication administration and answer general questions.
- Absorb and process inventory management: unpack orders, track expiration dates, and restock.
- Process payments, submit pet insurance claims, and schedule appointments when needed.
- Package and mail medications or lab samples following proper protocols.
- Maintain organized and clean pharmacy areas, completing daily open/close checklists.
Requirements

Qualifications
- Previous veterinary or pharmacy experience is a plus (but not required, we're willing to train the right candidate).
