About the role
BluePearl Stone Oak is seeking a board eligible/board certified Ophthalmologist to join our team. Located in the Stone Oak community of San Antonio, our hospital serves the greater San Antonio metropolitan area and is the first local specialty veterinary hospital. With approximately 19,000 square feet, the hospital offers a range of therapeutic and diagnostic services including an on-site MRI, CT scanner, ultrasound, and fluoroscopy. Board-certified specialists provide services such as emergency and critical care, internal medicine, rehabilitation, oncology, and surgery.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive eye care services to patients
- Collaborate with other specialists and veterinarians to ensure holistic patient care
- Contribute to the hospital's educational initiatives and mentor junior staff members
- Participate in research and contribute to the advancement of veterinary ophthalmology
Requirements
- Board certification in Ophthalmology
- Current license to practice medicine in the state of Texas
- Experience in emergency and critical care preferred
Qualifications
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an AVMA accredited institution
- Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in ophthalmology
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
