Schedule
- Full-Time
- Primarily Monday through Friday
- Flexibility to support evenings, weekends, and overnight operations as needed
What You'll Do
- Lead and develop the veterinary nursing team through coaching, mentoring, and performance management
- Oversee recruitment, hiring, onboarding, and retention of veterinary nursing staff
- Partner with Nursing Supervisors and the Nursing Trainer to support ongoing education and professional development
- Manage staffing, scheduling, labor utilization, and departmental budgets
- Collaborate with Medical Directors to maintain high clinical standards and patient care protocols
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and veterinary best practices
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance workflow, efficiency, and patient outcomes
- Support client service initiatives and resolve escalated client concerns
- Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and positive workplace culture
- Respond to operational and patient care needs during emergency situations
What We're Looking For
- Required Qualifications:
- Associate degree in Veterinary Technology or a related field
- Licensed, Certified, or Registered Veterinary Technician (LVT, CVT, RVT, or LVMT)
- Minimum of 4–6 years of clinical veterinary experience
- At least 2 years of veterinary leadership or management experience
- Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills
- Ability to prioritize and make sound decisions in a fast-paced veterinary environment
- Commitment to delivering exceptional patient care and supporting veterinary teams
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Certified Veterinary Practice Manager (CVPM)
- Veterinary Technician Specialist (VTS)
