Schedule

  • Full-Time
  • Primarily Monday through Friday
  • Flexibility to support evenings, weekends, and overnight operations as needed

What You'll Do

  • Lead and develop the veterinary nursing team through coaching, mentoring, and performance management
  • Oversee recruitment, hiring, onboarding, and retention of veterinary nursing staff
  • Partner with Nursing Supervisors and the Nursing Trainer to support ongoing education and professional development
  • Manage staffing, scheduling, labor utilization, and departmental budgets
  • Collaborate with Medical Directors to maintain high clinical standards and patient care protocols
  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and veterinary best practices
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance workflow, efficiency, and patient outcomes
  • Support client service initiatives and resolve escalated client concerns
  • Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and positive workplace culture
  • Respond to operational and patient care needs during emergency situations

What We're Looking For

  • Required Qualifications:
    • Associate degree in Veterinary Technology or a related field
    • Licensed, Certified, or Registered Veterinary Technician (LVT, CVT, RVT, or LVMT)
    • Minimum of 4–6 years of clinical veterinary experience
    • At least 2 years of veterinary leadership or management experience
    • Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills
    • Ability to prioritize and make sound decisions in a fast-paced veterinary environment
    • Commitment to delivering exceptional patient care and supporting veterinary teams
  • Preferred Qualifications:
    • Certified Veterinary Practice Manager (CVPM)
    • Veterinary Technician Specialist (VTS)
